Following 9 days of auctions, where we offered an extensive and impressive gathering of stamps, covers and collections from all over the world as well as a specialised focus on key markets, we are very pleased with the results that we have achieved for our clients.

The figures speak for themselves: more than 1,000 buyers purchased 5,000 lots through 250,000 bids, for total realisations topped over CHF 10 million ! In addition to live bidding in the auction room and via the internet, almost 65% of lots had registered pre-auction bids, demonstrating the depth and quality of material on offer and its attractiveness to both our regular buyers as well as a record number of new collectors from all over the world.

The strength of markets like Russia, Egypt and British Commonwealth including India have been confirmed, but we have also noticed a general improvement in more established areas such as France & Colonies. Again, the enormous quantity and quality of collection lots accumulated over the preceding 12 months found willing buyers from the international philatelic business community.
