Cover from St. Petersburg to New York, franked by 1866-75 1k, 3k, 10k and 20k on horizontally laid paper, tied by dispatch cds’s, “Aus Russland/Franco” red cds of Aachen, “f7” red crayon cancelled in blue and amended into “wf5”, and red New York cds alongside, embarked on the Cunard SS “Java” at Queenstown; a rare four-colour franking to pay the single rate per Prussian closed mail.
