Description
Mohammera: 1898, letter sent to a surgeon on the ship Sphinx in Persian Gulf, franked with pair of 1882 1/2 anna blue-green tied to cover by Mohammera squared circle cds 21 Apr 98. Also Bushire circular transit postmark Apr 22. “Bushire” written in crayon on front, to indicate delivery to ship in this port. Very fine and scarce.
