Mohammera: 1898, letter sent to a surgeon on the ship Sphinx in Persian Gulf, franked with pair of 1882 1/2 anna blue-green tied to cover by Mohammera squared circle cds 21 Apr 98. Also Bushire circular transit postmark Apr 22. « Bushire » written in crayon on front, to indicate delivery to ship in this port. Very fine and scarce. Catalogue ref: SG 84
