Austrian Post in the Levant, Braila (Romania): 1868 unpaid cover sent on 19/5 from Braila to Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece, struck on despatch with JBRAILA circular datestamp, routed “via Basiasch”, Triest oval postmark dated 24/5 and arrival Kerkira 18 May (Julian calendar). Manuscript “90” (lepta) in red crayon and taxed on arrival with two Hermes issue stamps (10l & 80l), both irregularly detached from the sheet.
