Austrian Post in the Levant, Braila (Romania): 1868 unpaid cover sent on 19/5 from Braila to Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece, struck on despatch with JBRAILA circular datestamp, routed « via Basiasch », Triest oval postmark dated 24/5 and arrival Kerkira 18 May (Julian calendar). Manuscript « 90 » (lepta) in red crayon and taxed on arrival with two Hermes issue stamps (10l & 80l), both irregularly detached from the sheet. A delightful cover from the Senofonte Vassila correspondence. Signed Ferchenbauer. Réf catalogue: Scott 5X2
