1917-18 The French Military Mission in Yambo: Non-Philatelic mail from this small detachment sent to assist Prince Abdullah (later King of Jordan), is very rarely seen, sender c/o “Mission Française d’Arabie/Yambo”, to France with cachets of censor 310 and “AMBULANCE/LE MEDECIN-CHEF”, the only recorded example, plus redirected cover to France, sender c/o “Mission Militaire Française au Hedjaz…pour Yanbo”. Military “601” (Suez) transit cds (29.8.18). Cachet “MISSION B / LE VAGUEMESTRE”, a fine and rare pair. Auction
