Lot 10121 – 1843, 90r black and 30r black semi-xiphopagus on piece, with octagonal “GRAMPARÁ” hs

1843, 90r black, early impression, used on piece together with 30r black, intermediate impression, good to predominantly very large margins, the 90r originating from a lower corner of pane with outer frame line on two sides, the 30r with the same line at base and additionally the rare dividing interpanneau line, both tied by octagonal “GRAMPARÁ” hs in carmine-brown (Ayres 1311); few tone spots of little significance. An exceptional combination of a 90r and a 30r semi-xiphopagus; despite more than 25 examples being known with this postmark for the 30r, only about five are recorded for the 90r. Signed Calves.
