Lot 10121 – 1843, 90r black and 30r black semi-xiphopagus on piece, with octagonal « GRAMPARÁ » hs

1843, 90r black, early impression, used on piece together with 30r black, intermediate impression, good to predominantly very large margins, the 90r originating from a lower corner of pane with outer frame line on two sides, the 30r with the same line at base and additionally the rare dividing interpanneau line, both tied by octagonal « GRAMPARÁ » hs in carmine-brown (Ayres 1311); few tone spots of little significance. An exceptional combination of a 90r and a 30r semi-xiphopagus; despite more than 25 examples being known with this postmark for the 30r, only about five are recorded for the 90r. Signed Calves.
