1871 (Nov 8) Entire sent from Caracas to Bordeaux, via St Thomas, with fine strike of the “Correos Caracas De Venezuela” oval cancel, carried to St Thomas on the Sider steamer and then reshipped onto the RMSP Nile that departed on 14 November destined for Plymouth, with charge mark “12” and the accountancy mark “GB/1F60c” (Anglo-Franco treaty), a Calais transit dated ‘Nov 28’ also to front, on the reverse a London cds ‘Nov 28’, central horizontal filing crease, otherwise fine and scarce; cert. Asofilca (2010).
