1924 Paris Olympics essay in paint and pencil of the 10c value showing an athlete doing the Olympic salute above Paris, 24.5×15.5cm, in black on paper with annotations in the margins in French indicating a switch in position of the value and “RF”, and that the colour of the “RF” should be greyed and the “POSTES 10” in white, with the sky and the athlete in deep green and the terrain in light green, a unique and highly important essay showing a step in the evolution of the design, ex Manfred Bergman.
