1902-10 De La Rue 1/2d yellow-green with variety PRINTED DOUBLE in a vertical lower marginal pair, with the lower stamp showing a complete double impression and the upper stamp with a small portion printed at foot, very fine, one of only three complete double impressions (one of which is in the Royal collection)

Note: Also 10 partial with varying degrees of doubling are known (see photo reconstruction included with the lot, which shows these two as numbers 10 and 13 in the listings). This pair has not been on the market for over 20 years. It was sold in a 1988 Phillips sale for £17’840.
