1913 8d Pair of large master bromides, the first dated “30.12.12”, 96x129mm, with highlights added to the King’s portrait and modified letters of “POSTAGE” and “REVENUE” (the angles of the letters represented on this mock up being very close to the finished design), and the second dated “9.4.13”, 100x125mm, showing these completed changes, a rare pair of working proofs giving an insight to the design process, exhibition items 1913 8d Large master design bromides. Very fine example of Eve’s original artwork dated “30.12.1912” with highlights added to the King’s portrait and modified letters of “POSTAGE” and “REVENUE”, the angles of the letters represented on this mock up being very close to the finished design. Offered with a second bromide of these completed chages dated “9.4.1913”. A rare pair of working proofs giving a unique insight into the design process.
