1d Scarlet – “Accent and Final ‘t’ Missing” Variety, Used. A very fine and exceptionally rare used example of the 1d Scarlet, with part slogan cancel, showing the sought-after “accent and final ‘t’ missing” variety. Apparently, fewer than five used examples are recorded. Signed in pencil on the reverse by David MacDonnell and accompanied by a certificate from Ian Whyte (1993). A truly scarce and highly desirable item for the specialist collector. (Hibernian T48d, €7,500).
