1841 2d blue pl.4 KH overprinted “SPECIMEN” type 1, with four good to large margins, mint part o.g., small printing flaw on Queen’s neck, small surface scrape, still a fine example and very rare example of the specimen overprint on plate 4; cert. BPA (2012) and Provenance Certificate Karl Louis (2012) which states that only five examples are known; ex Marcus Samuel which stated that only two were in private hands (S.G. from £5’500).
