1768-1871, Exhibition collection on the prephilatelic postmarks of the Colonial and the State & Republic period totalling about 86 items & an original print of the 1824 postal law, noted many rare postmarks, also foreign outgoing mail (Spain, France & France via GB, USA, Belgium, Saxony (cert. van der Linden), Belize (with rare Santo Tomas dated postmark)) and some incoming (from USA), noted several patriotic pmks.’Viva F. VIII’, the Colonial as well as the Republican period are showing many scarce to very rare postmarks, generally fine to v.fine for this very difficult area and with the for Guatemala usually often seen cover fronts, an exhibit colln. that could well serve as a base for further expanditure.
