Canton 1819 (May 1), entire letter to Old Rain, Aberdeenshire, Scotland with manuscript endorsement “p. Julia” and boxed straight-line SHIP LETTER handstamp, red circular OCT 2 1819 on front together with Scottish half penny mail tax; reverse with postmark DE 24 1818. with different taxations noted on front, some crossed out, probably charged 2 shillings on delivery. A fine and rare early commercial China entire, vertical filing fold of scant consequence, will display well.
