Canton 1818 (June 24), entire letter to Old Rain, Aberdeenshire, Scotland with manuscript endorsement “Via Marseille” and DEAL SHIPLETTER step arrival postmark; on back is postmark DE 24 1818, different taxations noted on front, most crossed out, the highest being 8 shillings (not deleted). light filing creases, a rare early commercial China entire.
