1939 (Oct 31) envelope from the Internment Camp in Demerara to Germany, endorsed at top left by the sender with “Internment Camp / Settlement Mazaruni-River”, with “PASSED BY CENSOR / George town, British Guiana” cachet at lower left, franked with 1938-52 KGVI 6c tied by George Town cds, reverse with “Officially opened and resealed / BY CENSOR” tape and oval cachet (larger-type than on front), scarce, and only two covers known sent from the Camp to Germany.
