1859 Sherwin 2d. blue on bluish paper, position 6, a superb used example with very large and balanced margins all around (a most unusual occurrence on this issue), spectacular colour in the deepest shade possible, and showing a proof like impression, neatly cancelled by barred oval cancel, extremely fine and very difficult to find a better example; ex “Port Louis”; signed A. Diena, cert. David Brandon (2012) (S.G.40, £8’000).
