1840 1d black pl.1b TF-TK, horizontal strip of 6 on entire from Dunfermline to Edinburgh (Scotland) with close to good margins, neatly tied by good strikes of red MCs, endorsed ‘’above 3 oz’’ and ‘’4’’, backstamped ‘’Dunfermline 12 8 40’’ and ‘’13 8 40’’ arrival strike. Vertical filing fold affecting ‘TG’. Most attractive, and a very scarce multiple on cover; cert. BPA (1990) and Karl Louis Provenance cert. (2012); ex Robson Lowe sale 1979, “Minimus” 1980, Harmers auctions 1981 and 1989.
