1839/40 Whiting Composite Essay, whereby an embossed head in green was superimposed on the Beaufort House Essay in black and red, then mounted on sheet inscribed in manuscript ‘Specimens of embossed and common stamping of cylindrical process conjoined’. A remarkable item, almost certainly unique; cert. Karl Louis (2019) with additional information included.
