Rural Mail: 18b red, a superb marginal stamp with large margins and fresh colour, type 5 of the transfer block, cancelled with the rare rural postmark DIST TELEORMAN * PL.TIRGULUI 6/3 (1870), on large part of cover (missing part of the reverse) sent to Turnu Magurele, arrival on reverse on the same day. The cover is endorsed at top “De la comuna Butculesti” (“From the village of Butculesti”). The item is in fine/very fine condition. Not many classic franked items of rural post have survived, rare.
