Description
1862 6 Parale brick-red on laid paper with large margins all around, on local cover sent in Bucharest on 6/4 (1863 or 1864), cancelled by ‘simple scroll’ marking. The item is addressed to “Mr. August Gorgean, Lieutenant of riflemen” which is Colonel Gorjan that made the official 1891 Bull’s Heads reprints. The stamp and the cover have creases and wrinkles, which have been flattened on the stamp, an immense rarity on laid paper, as only another such cover was recorded in the Cohen collection. Cert. Cherata AIEP (2024)
