Description
1862 6 parale deep vermilion on thin wove paper printed from a single die, a superb used pair with large margins all around, cancelled by strikes of the ‘FRANCO JASSY’ handstamp along with the linear ‘RECEPISSE’ (‘registration’) marking in blue—quite an unusual occurrence, as the registration marking was typically applied on the cover. Light vertical crease between the stamps; otherwise, very fine. Catalogue ref: Mi. 9Ixa
