1862 6 Parale brick-red huge margined example on thin wove paper on double rate printed matter sent on 29/10 (1864) from Turnu Severin (‘star’ postmark in blue) to Botosani, via Bucharest (3/11), arrival 10/11. The item has a printed contents related to a lottery, on paper with some stains visible on reverse and splits along the folds. The stamp has a barely perceptible nick at base. A great rarity, to our knowledge a unique double rate printed matter usage of the 6p stamp, originally intended for local use. Cert. Cherata AIEP (2024)
