1941 (19 Nov) Nykobing Falster to Thorshavn Faroe Islands franked with 1 kr 90 ore (double rate airmail), stamps tied by bridge type date stamp. Endorsed “Air mail via New York” and with blue Luftpost/par avion. British censorship label “Opened by Examiner 332” with an additional brown censorship label underneath. Also purple “Ae” censorship mark from the German censor in Frankfurt. On reverse is Thorshavn arrival slogan pm “Spis Faroske Klipfisk” 15 Jan 1941; a very fine and scarce censorship cover at double airmail rate. Auction
