1896 (Jun 17) envelope from Mombasa to England with 1896 5a tied by Mombasa squared circle ds paying the double rate, Kings Lynn arrival bs, carried aboard S.S. Kola, the first scheduled BISN mailboat to Europe after the delivery to Mombasa of the new definitives, minor soiling, a very early usage and an uncommon use of the double rate.
Note: The supply of this issue was delivered to the Mombasa P.O. on 26th May and put on immediate sale.
