The Discovery Example
1922 SE 2d blue-green, experimental coil, perf. 15 x imperf, neatly tied on fragment by boxed “USE THE TELEPHONE” slogan cancel with “BAILE ÁTHA CLIATH/9.JLY.1939” cds alongside, very fine, an important showpiece (Hib. D4cii, €2’800).
Note: This discovery example was first reported by Michael Leonard and recorded in the British Stamp Journal “The Stamp Lover” of March 1937.
