1898 (May). 1c, 20c and War Tax 2c pair, used on registered cover endorsed “vapor frances” from Ponce to Berlin, with octagonal “R” hs, arrival on reverse, a scarce usage of the War Tax issue; signed Soro; ex Roca and Acevedo; (Edifil 130, 144, war tax 12); in addition, ten mint war tax stamps; ex Roca and Acevedo.
