Envelope via USA to Barbados, paying 6d rate with 1847-54 6d Embossed, just cut into, tied by “Plymouth” sideways duplex, via London to Southampton and put aboard RMSPC “Tyne”, disembarked at St. Thomas and transferred to the “Derwent” with Barbadoes SP 21 arrival, fine; a rare destination with very few Embossed issue frankings to the Caribbean known according to Peter McCann’s census published in the GB Journal 2020 no.3.
