Envelope via USA to Barbados, paying 6d rate with 1847-54 6d Embossed, just cut into, tied by « Plymouth » sideways duplex, via London to Southampton and put aboard RMSPC « Tyne », disembarked at St. Thomas and transferred to the « Derwent » with Barbadoes SP 21 arrival, fine; a rare destination with very few Embossed issue frankings to the Caribbean known according to Peter McCann’s census published in the GB Journal 2020 no.3.
