1843 (Sep 20) 1d. pink postal stationery envelope from Clifton to London, neatly cancelled a very fine Bristol cross with solid centre (very similar to the distinctive Welshpool cross); a very rare usage believed to be one of just two known, illustrated in Rockoff and Jackson p.58.
