1910 2d Group of six colour trials and a die proof prepared for use by De La Rue for the “Tyrian Plum”, with proof in black on glazed card (stamp size), imperf. colour trial on unwatermarked gummed paper in pale brown, and perforated colour trials on gummed watermarked paper in grey-brown, sage-green, grey, black, pale blue and yellow-ochre, all very fine, a superb group for the KEVII specialist for one of the most famous GB stamps Catalogue ref: SG 266a
