1840 1d Black pl.8 FL, two huge margins, tied to 1841 (Jan 12) entire (cross-written) from Liverpool to London with additional Madeira forwarding address via Forwarding Agent’s in London (Robert Forster of Beer Lane), for onward transmission to Madeira, reverse with Liverpool despatch cds and London cds in red, obverse bears Madeira notation of charge due upon receipt with “160” (reis) in manuscript alongside the adhesive, a rare and attractive cover, cert.
