1841 1d Red pl.10 HJ, fine to good margins, tied to 1841 (Oct) entire from Burgh le Marsh (datelined Skegness, Lincolnshire) to Carlisle by crisp Maltese Cross, placed contrary to regulations at top left with Burgh UDC adjacent, cancelled at the Spilsby office with further strike of the MC adjacent (typical for Spilsby but contrary to common practice) and despatch on reverse, Carlisle arrival, fine and very attractive cover, ex “Durham”, illustrated in R&J vol.2 pp.250-254.
