1884-96 STAMP DUTY 8 pounds die proof in black on unwatermarked wove paper (34x65mm). Slight horizontal crease in lower surround but a rare and beautiful item being one of only five die proofs known for this value, all of which are in different states, this example showing the completed crown though lacking the “JL” inscription.
