1854 30c brown-grey, type II, clear to large margins, and two well margined 1855 45c blue-slate type II examples, each tied by dispatch cds of Milan on 6.2.1858 cover to Frankfurt, with red “DOPO LA/PARTENZA” two-line hs at top right and indistinct cds on back; a very rare double-rate franking including 90c for the third distance (over 150 km beyond the border), as well as 30c for the double-rate Swiss transit; cert.
