Lot 60169 – 1850 5c and 45c (3) on double rate cover to France

1850 5c yellow, hand paper, touching in small place at base, otherwise well margined, and 1855 45c type II, three large margined examples, tied by Milano cds’s on prepaid 15.2.1858 entire letter to Lyon, red french entry cds alongside and backstamp on receipt, a very rare franking to pay the double rate to France according to the recently introduced Franco-Austrian Convention of 1.1.1858; cert.
