Lot 95241 – British Post Offices Port Au Prince 1880 Crown Circle

1880 outer letter sheet endorsed “pr R.M.” to Paris showing an extremely fine example of large red crown circle PAID/ AT/ PORT AU PRINCE, black index ‘B’ cds alongside of AP 10, red London transit backstamp (AP 28), obverse with Calais entry cds of same date. A very fine example of this handstamp only recorded in use between December 1879 and April 1881.
