1914-17 Shahpura native cover bearing strip of four of 1p Carmine/drab imperf issue (SG2). A remarkable cover with multiple franking of the first issue cancelled by native seal cancel “Raj Shahpura Tahsil Phulia”. This cover image was used in article by Fritz Staal in India Post March 2012 page 7 describing Shahpura issues. Extremely rare stamp on cover and an elusive usage. For the specialist, very fine Ex A.
