1914-17 Shahpura native cover bearing strip of four of 1p Carmine/drab imperf issue (SG2). A remarkable cover with multiple franking of the first issue cancelled by native seal cancel « Raj Shahpura Tahsil Phulia ». This cover image was used in article by Fritz Staal in India Post March 2012 page 7 describing Shahpura issues. Extremely rare stamp on cover and an elusive usage. For the specialist, very fine Ex A.
