1866 Unpaid letter from Lyon (July 1st/13th, 1866) to Athens (July 6th/18th, 1866), via Marseille (July 2nd/14th, 1866) and with Lyon to Marseille TPO ambulant postmark (July 2nd/14th, 1866). Taxed on arrival with 132 lepta (written on red pencil on the front) corresponding to 112 lepta, or 1 franc, (single rate) for the transportation by the boats of the “Compagnie des Paquebots de la Méditerranée” for a letter up to 7½ grams plus the Greek domestic rate of 20 lepta for a letter up to 15 grams (single rate) according to the 1838 convention between Greece & France up to Oct. 1867.
