1839-50 Scottish Postal History: Mixed lot including entire Hawick to Newport, Fife with fine strike of the scarce 2-line NEWPORT / PENNY POST” mark, plus fine strikes of the boxed “ó”, manuscript “9”, fair Hawick backstamp, Edinburgh transit stamp, plus another similar cover with strike not as clear as the previous, also fourteen large part covers, all with 1841 1d frankings, mostly with MC in black and other with numeral cancels, mixed to fine (16), plus Telegrams; 1874-92 (and one 1901) small bundle of telegrams all sent to a Solicitor’s office in Langholm. Mainly Langholm twin-arc postmarks (17), a few duplex (4) and single-circle (3). Also a few other original envelopes.
