1868 (Mar 31) envelope from Salisbury, bearing 1852 1d. red-brown on very blued paper, JB, Pl. 157 (state 2 repair), placed at upper left (contrary to regulations), neatly tied by a very fine strike of the “683” duplex cancel, a scarce late usage and rare so fine in this quality; cert R.P.S. (2003).
