Description

1840 1d. black, JF, Pl. 2, neatly tied to small piece dated 6 May 1840, by a fine strike of the red Maltese cross, on the first official day of usage, leaving a virtually clear profile, a very rare frontis piece for a line engraved exhibit, which displays well. Ex Crawford.
