Description

54 Parale green on pale blue green horizontally laid paper, a delightful example with fresh colour, large even margins and the partial ‘FOKSCHANI MOLDOVA’ cds mostly outside of the design. An essentially sound item, with trivial imperfections at extreme edges and a faint trace of horizontal bend; extremely fine & with distinguished provenance. Heimbüchler census 316/1. Ex Rotschild (1948), Amundsen (1969 described “truly a ‘Connoisseur’s’ stamp), Tomasini (D.Feldman 2006). Illustrated in Heimbüchler I, page 317 #1. Signed Friedl, A. Diena, E. Diena, Sorani and other. Cert. Heimbüchler (1984).
