Lot 66175 – Saint Vincent 1862 Paid at St Vincent crown circle envelope

1862 small neat envelope to London bearing fine strike of red Paid at St Vincent crown circle, endorsed “paid” with manuscript “5” alongside in red crayon, unclear St Vincent cds, arrival at centre of AU 13. The handstamp was brought into emergency use due to a shortage of 6d values and showed that the 1d internal and 5d packet letter had been paid.
