1936 Bradbury Wilkinson tamp-size undernominated engraved essay die proofs with portrait of King Edward VII facing three-quarters to left, each with frame and inscriptions as subsequently adopted for the KGVI 1/2d to 9d, respectively in carmine (with the portrait of the King in military uniform) and in blue-green (with portrait of the King in garter robes).
