Galway – Ballinasloe: 1787 Entire to Dublin with a clear strike of the large linear BALLYNASLOE hs in black, with JA/31 bishop on reverse, rated 4d for over 30 miles, plus similar letter dated 1806 but rated 6d for 50 to 80 miles on the 1806 mileage scale, an interesting pair illustrating the changed rates.
